Art Man Wan

As a self taught mixed media artist, I am inspired by my surroundings and base my work on photographs I have personally taken, hence my art reflects my unique vision and time of the world, documenting places I've visited and subjects that interest me.

My mind is constantly buzzing with ideas that it can be overwhelming and paralysing. Using a drinks can as a theme helps me to manage and control my creative thoughts, where I then translate my vision into physical form via mixed media techniques, including screen printing and photography.

A degree in Zoology and working in the drug discovery industry has an influence on the narrative of my work and the good causes I want to support with my art.

My current life trajectory is that I will not have children, hence I see my art as a way to pass on my ideas and is what I will leave behind. I have started this process since 2022 in getting my art out there in the world via charity auctions, where my work has consistently gained interests and sold.

In addition, I have been involved in group exhibitions in locations such as London, Brighton, Paris and New York (albeit via small pop up/shop galleries), and in 2023 my work was featured on the BBC website as well as on a jumbo screen in Times Square, New York.
